Dubai hotel unveils Dh129 canal-view iftar and in-room suhoor for Ramadan 2026
Featuring Alfresco dining, live grill stations and Arabic classics
DUBAI – As Ramadan 2026 approaches, Grand Mercure Business Bay is welcoming residents and visitors with a programme centred on flavour, comfort and togetherness.
Set against the backdrop of the Dubai Water Canal and views stretching towards the Burj Khalifa, the hotel’s dining venues are embracing the season with a carefully curated Iftar buffet and a convenient in-room Suhoor offering.
The initiative is designed to reflect the spirit of the holy month, combining traditional dishes with a relaxed setting that allows guests to break their fast at an unhurried pace. From sunset through the early hours, the property will serve a selection of Ramadan favourites alongside international touches.
Canal views
Iftar will be hosted at Café Délices on the ground floor, with alfresco seating overlooking the Dubai Water Canal and the skyline anchored by the Burj Khalifa. Service begins at sunset, around 6.00pm, throughout Ramadan.
Priced at Dh129 per adult, the buffet is structured to cater to families. Children under six dine free of charge, while those aged between six and 12 are priced at Dh79. All prices are inclusive of VAT and taxes.
The experience opens with a spread of traditional Ramadan juices including jalab, kamar al dein and tamer hindi, alongside laban and dates. Guests can then choose from comforting soups such as lentil, chicken orzo and Moroccan harira, marking the customary first course after the call to prayer.
Live stations
The main buffet features a mix of regional and international selections. Highlights may include mixed grills with kofta kebab, shish taouk and shish kebab, as well as kossa bil laban and Bahraini thareed. Arabic specialities such as ouzi and chicken machboos form part of the centrepiece, complemented by seasonal sides and rotating dishes.
A live Arabian grill carvery is positioned as a focal point of the evening, serving freshly prepared meats alongside baked Arabic breads in flavours such as zaatar, sesame and chilli. The live stations are intended to bring an interactive element to the Iftar setting.
Desserts are presented as a dedicated finale, featuring cheese kunafa, qatayef with keshta, saffron muhallabieh and sutlac. A dates tower and assorted Arabic sweets are included, alongside contemporary options such as date cheesecake.
In-room Suhoor
For guests preferring privacy or a quieter pre-dawn setting, the hotel is offering Suhoor exclusively through in-room service. Available nightly from 11.00pm until 5.00am, the service runs from the day before Ramadan begins until the second last day of the holy month.
The Suhoor set menu is priced at Dh75 per person. An à la carte selection is also available, starting from Dh25. Guests staying on room packages that include breakfast will not be charged separately for Suhoor, where applicable.
The in-room option is positioned to accommodate travellers and residents who prefer to dine in comfort before the fast begins, without leaving their rooms.

Group bookings of more than 10 people during Ramadan are eligible for a 20 percent discount, subject to terms and conditions. The offer cannot be combined with other promotions.
Iftar is available daily from sunset at Café Délices, located on the ground floor of the hotel. Suhoor is accessible via in-room service request only during the designated late-night hours.
